India believes in good ties with Pakistan, China: Anthony

KOZHIKODE – India believes improvement in relations with neighboring countries, including China and Pakistan, could be brought about by solving disputes through talks, Indian Defence Minister AK Antony said here Sunday.
According to the Press Trust of India news agency, the Indian minister said, “Our ambition is to improve relations with neighboring countries, including China and Pakistan. Any disputes can be sorted out through mutual discussions.”
At a ‘meet the leader’ programme of the Calicut Press Club, he said that the March 30 meeting between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Yousaf Raza Gilani on the sidelines of the World Cup semifinal at Mohali would not only improve relations but was also a good beginning.
