LAHORE – Hanjarwal Investigation Police on Sunday claimed to have solved the mystery of a murder involving a beheaded body and arrested the victim’s wife and brother for allegedly killing him. According to details, on February 10, Hanjerwal Police recovered a man’s beheaded body from Hanjerwal Area.
After registering a case, police started probing into the matter and took fingerprints of the body. The investigation officer sent the finger prints to the National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA) office, where the body was identified as Nasarullah, son of Rehmat Ali, a resident of 251-A Muslim Town. Further investigation revealed that the victim was killed by his wife Mumtaz and brother Saifullah.
Mumtaz had developed illicit relations with Saifullah on which they slaughtered Nasarullah. The killers managed to flee after throwing Nasarullah’s head and body at two different places. On Sunday, after collecting necessary evidence against the accused, police arrested Mumtaz and Saifullah and also recovered the weapon used in the murder.
Three Mobile Squad policemen suspended for teasing women: Mobile Squad Superintendent (SP) Muntazir Mehdi on Sunday suspended three Mobile Squad Defence 5 policemen for teasing women. The SP also demoted the in-charge of the suspended policemen. According to details, Mehdi received a complaint from some women that In-charge Sub-Inspector Muhammad Afzal and three Mobile Squad Defense 5 constables teased women in the name of checking on which the SP reached the spot and conducted an inquiry.
Mehdi found the aforementioned cops guilty on which he demoted the in-charge and suspended three constables with immediate effect.
