Magnitude 5.9 quake shakes northern Chile

SANTIAGO – A magnitude 5.9 quake struck northern Chile on Saturday but the Chilean emergency office ONEMI said there were no reports of damage.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was centered 84 miles (135 km) northeast of Iquique and had a depth of 51.8 miles (83.3 km).
