LAHORE – A woman died in a private hospital of Johar Town on Saturday due to alleged negligence of doctors. Family of the woman held a protest and resorted to violence. Police soon controlled the situation and shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy. The victim’s family requested registration of a first information report (FIR) against doctors. According to details, Umar, a resident of Wassanpura, brought his wife Yasmeen to the hospital two days ago. Yasmeen was given an injection in the ICU due to which her condition deteriorated and she died. When the family started protesting, the paramedics hid themselves. Police claimed that the investigation will depend on the autopsy report. Relatives of Yasmeen kept on chanting slogans against the hospital administration.
Two men killed after falling into drain: Two unidentified men died after falling into a drain near the Bhaati Gate on Saturday. According to police, both men were between 30 to 35 years of age. Police claimed that both of them were not in a stable mind when they jumped into the drain. According to details, a drug addict jumped into a drain and his friend, in order to save him, also jumped into it. Police told Pakistan Today that the drain was too deep due to which rescue teams could not save both of them.
Bhaati Gate Police Station Sub-Inspector Liaqat told Pakistan Today that bodies of both addicts have been shifted to the morgue. He said that photographs of both of them have been taken while heirs of the victims have not been found yet.
Unidentified body found in Sabzi Mandi Police Chowki precincts: An unidentified body was found in the Sabzi Mandi Police Chowki on Saturday. Police claimed that the 30 to 35-years-old man was a drug addict and his body was transferred to the morgue. According to police, details of his death will be known after autopsy.
