Wackenhut helps its flood-hit employees

LAHORE – SMS and Wackenhut Pakistan Private limited distributed cash among their flood-affected employees in a ceremony at The Mall on Thursday. Wackenhut Chairman Ikram Sehgal said that Wackenhut was the only company which had helped its employees on such a large scale. He asked the company’s employees to work with more spirit and effort. Employees who got the aid thanked the authorities and said that their company had always taken care of them.
Brig (r) Babur Idrees, Wackenhut’s official, said that the company selected 421 flood-affected employees of the central region under a transparent system to support them. He said that it was not possible to gather all 421 employees under one roof, therefore their aid has been transferred to their accounts. He also said that during floods, Rs 4 million was distributed among the deserving employees. He said that there was health insurance worth one million for each employee and if an employee died during duty then their family was supported. He also claimed that Wackenhut took care of 57 widows. He claimed that people from all walks of life helped Wackenhut including its own employees to help out the flood-affected employees.
