LAHORE – PAF reclaimed the 46th National Men’s Volleyball Championship title after two years, beating a spirited Army team in a four-set final 14-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-18 here on Thursday at WAPDA Sports Complex, Lahore. The main contributors in PAF’s win over Army were Muhammad Ismail Khan, Binyamin and Saeed Khan, as Muhammad Wasit put in good show for Army. Meanwhile, in a classification match, Navy defeated defending champions WAPDA in straight sets to secure the third position in the championship.
Navy won 32-30, 25-19, 25-18 in 65 minutes. Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi, Chairman Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chaudary Mohammad Yaqoob, Secretary Pakistan Olympic Association Abdul Khaliq Khan and President Punjab Volleyball Association Zafar Abbas were the chief guests on the occasion and gave away the trophies and prizes.
