DASKA – Cleanliness situation has become worst in Daska as trash heaps can be seen everywhere due to alleged slackness of Daska Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA). Local social, religious and political circles have expressed concerns over this situation and have accused the district government and Daska TMA for not paying attention towards the solution of this prolonged civic problem.
They said the Daska TMA was ignoring the repeated calls and appeals made by the citizens for the removal of the rising trash heaps and added that the ill-smell had made the lives of the citizens of Daska city very hard. They said people were suffering from several fatal diseases due to the lack of cleanliness and health facilities in Daska. They added that sewerage and drainage system of the city was needed to be repaired but the TMA had done nothing for the early rectification of this system. They also urged the Punjab government to announce a special grant to purchase the advanced machinery for Daska city’s cleanliness project.
