LAHORE – The widow of former Nankana district police officer (DPO) was admitted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in a state of unconsciousness on Thursday. Aisha Masroor, resident of Wapda Town, is the widow of Shahzad Waheed Bhopal, former Nankana DPO. Hospital sources said Aisha was brought to hospital at noon after she swallowed poisonous pills. She had been in a trauma after her husband’s suicide the other day. She was immediately moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Doctors said Aisha’s condition was now stable.
Sheikh Zayed Hospital Assistant Administrator Dr Ahmed Alamgir told reporters that Aisha apparently suffered mental shock and went into a trauma, as reports collected until the filing of this report did not show any sign of poisonous pills. He said she recovered fast within an hour after being administered treatment.
Aisha and Bhopal have a three-month-old daughter. She is the niece of former IG Rana Maqbool. Surprising, families of Aisha and her deceased husband were trying to hide facts behind her hospitalisation.
