NEW DELHI – India said on Wednesday that the probe into the Samjhauta Express bomb blasts, in which 43 Pakistanis were killed, was still on to find out identities of all perpetrators of the crime.
A day after the talks between the home secretaries of Pakistan and India, where Islamabad wanted to know the progress made so far, the Indian Home Ministry said that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted painstaking investigation into the 2007 bombing.
The ministry in a statement said a breakthrough was achieved in December last year with the arrest of Swami Aseemanand, a right wing activist and key conspirator.
