Prosecution department’s performance reviewed

HAFIZABAD – A meeting the district prosecutors was with District Prosecutor Nasrullah Goroo in the chair to review the performance of the prosecution department. Nasrullah Goroo directed the prosecutors to cooperate with all investigation officers to submit all chalans of criminal cases within 14 days in the office of the district prosecuting officer and submit appeals against all such cases in which sentence was decreased or accused were acquitted.
He also directed the prosecutors to submit chalans of dacoities, robberies and abductions in the courts after consulting him. Prosecutors Nadim Ashraf, Zakar Hussain, Rana Sultan, Muhammad Amar Shahzad and Shahbaz Khan also attended the meeting.
GIRL’S BODY FOUND IN CANAL: An unknown girl’s body was found in Doaba Canal. Reportedly, Hafizabad Sadar police recovered a girl’s corpse packed in a bag from Doaba Canal near Chack Chatta. The police shifted the body to the district headquarters hospital for autopsy. It is suspected that someone murdered the girl and threw the body into the canal.
Ex-husband INJURES woman: A man cut the throat of his divorced wife and injured her seriously in Akhtar Town near Park Road. Reportedly, Muhammad Sadiq, a resident of Akhtar Town, divorced his wife Amtul Hafeez, the mother of four children, four years ago.
On the day of the incident, Muhammad Sadiq called her on Park Road, cut her throat and fled away. The Rescue 1122 took her to a hospital where her condition was out of danger.
