KARACHI – British Deputy High Commissioner Robert W Gibson held a farewell meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the Chief Minister’s House on Wednesday.
Gibson was accompanied by Daniel Tarshish and Shaharyar Niazi, whereas Senior Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazharul Haq, Sindh Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani and Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro were also present on the occasion.
The participants of the meeting discussed matters of mutual interest, particularly regarding cooperation between Pakistan and Britain.
The chief minister highlighted and appreciated Gibson’s services, saying that the deputy high commissioner had played an important role in strengthening the relation between both countries.
The deputy high commissioner thanked the chief minister and the provincial government for their cooperation during his stay in the city.
Shah also hosted lunch for Gibson and his delegation, and offered the shield of Chief Minister’s House, a khais, an ajrak and a Sindhi cap to the deputy high commissioner.
