LAHORE – The DHA Lahore organized its Fifth Annual Spring Flower Competition at Sheba Park Sector Y Phase – III. Brig Muhammad Aslam Rana Administrator DHA Lahore was the guest of honour on the occasion.
On the address of this occasion Brig Muhammad Aslam Rana said “that the spring season is one of the favourite seasons for most of the people and it is certainly easy to understand why it is so. The spring season is when earth comes back to life after a long cold winter and it is in spring when first flower begin to bloom and the green would return after winters slumber.
He also said that every flower about a house certifies to the refinement of somebody. Every creeper climbing and blossoming tells of love and joy. For the plant lovers, the spring is one of the most pleasant times in the garden. It is the time when the bulbs that were carefully planted in the fall begin to grow and blossom and that is when the first seedling is carefully nestled in the garden.
The environment is so magical that you feel like whistling around even with a shoe full of slush. On the contrary, this month of March is little warmer than previous ones. In the flower competition, houses were divided into categories according to their size. In the category of two kanal houses inside lown “Usman Dil Awaiz” got first prize, “Khalid Waheed” 2nd and “Lt Col Tanveer Rana” got 3rd prize.
In outside lawn category “Usman Dil Awaiz got 1st, “Mian Shoukat” got 2nd and “Lt Col Tanveer Rana” got 3rd prize in it. Lubaba Abbas got 1st prize in one Kanal inside lawn while Mujtaba Amir got 2nd and Syed Sajjad Hussain Karmani got 3rd prize. In the category of outside colourful lawn decoration lubaba Abbas got 1st position, 2nd position got Mujahid and Muhammad Ashraf got 3rd prize.
The competition of decoration of flowers and plants between educational institutions. The Defence Public School for Boys got 1st, Defence Degree College for Boys got 2nd prize and Kindergarten School got 3rd prize. LUMS got consultation prize.
In between clubs competition Defence Club Sector ‘J’ Phase-1 got got 1st prize, Defence Club Sector ‘R’ Phase – 2 got 2nd and Defence Club ‘FF’ Phase – 4 got 3rd prizes in the competition. Amjad plants care company got best horticulture company award. Brig Muhammad Aslam Rana, Administrator DHA Lahore was distributed the prize amongst the winners.
Brig Muhammad Aslam Rana also inaugurated the 10 days flower exhibition which will remain on display till 30 March 2011. In this flower show more than 50 thousand flowers and different kind of plants put there which are very eye catching.
A large number of people from various walk of life participated in the event. For the fifth time, the DHA Lahore celebrated the spring festival in a most befitting.
really good, we should encourage these kind of events they are closer to nature and makes you feel good you should post some more pictures I want to see more of it and for this year di it at a bigger level.
