TOBA TEK SINGH – Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Dullam feeder’s cable worth lakhs of rupees was stolen in load shedding hours. Reportedly, thieves took away electric wire and high voltage cable worth millions of rupees in Basti Pathanan Wali on Toba-Waryam Wala Link Road.
The residents said such incidents had been taken place in their area for the last several months, but not even a single thief had been arrested so far. They doubted that FESCO officials were involved in theft incidents, otherwise, they said, thieves could never get information regarding the closure of power supply.
FESCO Executive Engineer Syed Farzand Ali claimed that work had been started to restore the power supply. He added that the police had not registered an FIR regarding the incident so far.
