ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary has constituted a four member larger bench to hear the Civil Review Petition.
According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, the bench would hear Civil Review Petition Nos 46 & 47 of 2011 in Constitution Petition Nos. 11 & 18 of 2011 regarding non acceptance of recommendation of Judicial Commission by Parliamentary Committee with respect to the Judges of Lahore High Court and High Court of Sindh on Friday.
The bench to be headed by Justice Mahmood Akhtar Shahid Siddiqui and comprising of other three Judges namely Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Tariq Parvez.
The above Civil Review Petitions have been filed by Mr. M.S.Khattak, AOR on behalf of the Federation. Both Review Petitions have been drawn by Mr.K.K.Agha, Addl. Attorney General for Pakistan, which have been fixed for hearing before the bench on Friday.
