PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week – Pakistan’s premier fashion platform returns to Lahore

LAHORE – With the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week in the evening today for its third week in Pakistan, it is important to highlight what the PFDC & Sunsilk achieve as a collaborative platform and to exclusively present the pioneering vision of the people behind the scenes of this massive event which entails four days of high fashion and media frenzy. As a platform, he PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week has built itself as an institution for designers, retailers and now textile houses to showcase their labels and brands, working towards refining and formalising the dynamics of corporate patronage towards fashion, streamlined retail and collection showcases and production within the industry.
It also promotes Pakistan’s positive work across the international and national media. The PFDC was established in 2006 and endeavours to accord a corporate status to the wide variety of fashion businesses provide a platform for young and mainstream designers and to institutionalise the fashion industry in order to create and maintain national industry standards in conformity with global market standards. Today, the PFDC includes over 56 members from across the country.
PFDC as a body is involved in the revival of the crafts sector in collaboration with Aik Hunar Aik Nagar [AHAN]; this being of significance since 90% of the embroideries of the South Asian subcontinent originates from Pakistan. The Council also offers two annual scholarships to aspiring PIFD students. Lastly, the PFDC continues to strive towards the standardisation of the Pr
