LAHORE – Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders while thanking the Punjab government for facilitating them to hold party’s public moot on April 10 at the new venue, Qaddafi Stadium road, expressed the hope that provincial government would make foolproof security arrangements on the day of the event. MQM coordination committee member Iftikahar Randhawa expressed these views while addressing a press conference at the newly inaugurated party’s office along with coordination committee members Wasay Jalil and Saif Yar Khan on Monday.
He said that the city district administration following the instructions of the provincial government had delivered written permission for the new venue, Qaddafi Stadium Road adjacent to Ferozpur Road. He said that MQM had surrendered its earlier demand for holding party moot at Minar-e-Pakistan after hearing the provincial government’s security apprehensions and expected the Punjab government to ake all measures to ensure security at the new venue.
