KARACHI – Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik promised that criminals involved in Karachi’s targeted killings will be dealt with strictly.
Malik said that stern action will be taken irrespective of any connection with political or religious parties.
While talking to the media, Malik said that the government’s main concern was to provide protection to people.
He urged religious parties not to engage in politics over the issue of sacrilege to the Holy Quran.
“The government has written a letter to Interpol over the issue of sacrilege to the Holy Quran. Such issues are a threat to international peace”, he said.
Replying to a question, Malik said that Pakistani players were provided with heightened security upon their arrival in India.
The Interior Minister said that the issue of Raymond Davis was resolved by the court. “Davis’ issue is dead and the court’s verdict is clear in this regard,” he added.
