KASUR – It has been observed that the teachers of private schools are in a better position in imparting education to their students as compared to the teachers of government schools. The teachers of government schools are burdened with many activities ordered by the federal, provincial or district governments. They spend most of their time in extracurricular and other activities.
Normally, the higher authorities ask the government schools’ teachers to conduct census and prepare voters’ lists. They also have to perform election duties, administer anti-polio vaccine to children and act as invigilators during the middle, matric, inter and other examinations.
As the teachers of public schools remain engaged in such non-teaching activities, It is difficult for them find enough time to cover their syllabus and prepare their students to get good marks in examinations. Moreover, students suffer in another way when public schools’ teachers stop teaching them during vacation of several types. The students of public schools are not taught during summer and winter vacation, public holidays and casual leaves.
If such leaves are calculated, the students find a short time to prepare for their exams. On the contrary, students of private schools are at a great advantage as their teachers are not preoccupied with the extra burden of government’s other institutions and their students surpass those of public schools in almost all examinations.
