KARACHI- Media Coordinator to Sindh government Taj Haider Sunday said the persons, who became the citizens of Sindh in accordance with the citizenship law, were eligible for registration under the forthcoming census in the province but double entry would be deemed as a violation of law.
In a statement, he said those who come to Sindh from other provinces, were Pakistani citizens. Taj Haider, also the general-secretary of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh, said a single entry would be made in the census and getting dual registration was a crime.
In this connection, the law was also applicable to the people of Sindh, he added. He said the Sindh chief minister had called for preparing a separate list of those foreigners, who are living illegally in the province, adding that they were responsible for the additional expenditures incurred on the province.
