ISLAMABAD – Leader of the House in Senate, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari on Saturday said that government was mulling to affiliate all federal colleges with Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) for awarding degrees.
While addressing an Annual Sports Prize Distribution Ceremony 2010-11 arranged by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), he said that federal institutes would be affiliated with the QAU so that the students could get degrees from QAU instead of the Punjab University. He said that he had discussed the proposal with QAU Vice Chancellor Dr Masoom Yasinzai who had also shown his agreement. He added that war against terrorism could not be won with the forces rather there was a need to educate and prepare the nation mentally to combat it. Later, he awarded shields and medals to the winners of the games.
