KARACHI – The city administrator has banned the assembly of more than five persons in and around 100 yards of strategic installations of KESC and authorised a representative of KESC to lodge complaints under relevant provisions of PPC at the police station concerned against anyone violating this order.
The order stated that all installations including KESC offices fall under the category of strategic assets, 29 installations among those are declared key points by the government and are posed with serious security issues and safety hazards, which resultantly affect the operational worthiness of KESC.
There is a possibility of miscreants and terrorists rendering access to these strategic installations under the garb of consumers or visitors.
The order shall come into force with immediate effect and remain in force for a period of seven days.
