Targeted killings claim another 17 lives in Karachi

KARACHI – At least 17 people were reported killed in various incidents of targeted killing in another violence-marred day in Karachi on Friday. The dead include, Sabeeh Khan, a nephew of Aamir Khan, prominent leader of Mohajir Qaumi Movement. He was attacked near Jauhar Morr.
In other incidents, Anwar Hussain was killed in Landhi near Mohammaden Ground when unknown armed men opened fire on him. A bullet-riddled body of a young man, identified as Adnan, was found near Azizabad Bridge in the limits of Azizabad police station. A man, identified as Nazar Muhammad, was killed by firing in the limits of Federal B Industrial Area police station.
The victim was a resident of R-16 Al-Asif Square area of Sohrab Goth. Siddique, 20, was killed when unidentified armed men entered his house near Ghafoori Chowk in Mawach Goth area and opened indiscriminate fire on him. He died on the spot. Separately, a bullet-riddled body of a young bike mechanic bearing torture marks was found near Noorani Bus Stand in the limits of Napier police station.
In another incident of firing, a man was killed in Korangi 2-1/2 area. Police said that Imran was shot dead by unidentified armed men near Korangi Link Road. The victim hailed from Okara area and used to work at a garments factory. Two men were shot dead in separate incidents of firing in Sachal Goth police precincts.
Also, Fazal-e-Haq was shot dead by unidentified armed men in Sachal area, police said. The victim was resident of New Chali area of Quaidabad. A bullet-riddled body of a man was found near post office in Gulzar-e-Hijri area. Separately, a man was killed by firing in Orangi Town. An activist of the Muttahidda Qaumi Movement, injured in a firing incident on
March 21, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
The victim, Kamran Shams, was an Muttahidda Qumi Movement activist of Muttahidda Qumi Movement Unit 118, Ornagi Town.
