ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court on Friday sought the complete record of appointments made in the Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) during the tenure of former federal minister for labor and manpower Syed Khurshid Shah.
The court also issued notices to 132 employees of EOBI, who got jobs during the last three years, observing why had they not been terminated if they got employed illegally. The court noted that it would examine the matter under Article 184(3) of the constitution.
It also sought details of the institute’s fund, which has been invested in Summit Bank on lesser profit. The chief justice observed that public money had been wasted illegally. A two-member bench of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Justice Ghulam Rabbani was hearing a petition against alleged illegal appointments in EOBI by EOBI’s Employees Union Secretary General Syed Mubashir Rizvi.
Rasheed A Rzvi, lawyer for the petitioner, argued that 132 employees were illegally recruited in grade 16 and above. However, the actual candidates who were interviewed and qualified for the posts were deprived of recruitments. He alleged that the final list of recruitments was prepared even before the start of interviews of over 20, 000 candidates.
The lawyer said all 132 employees were regularised after six months. He said EOBI’s Rs 800 million was invested in Summit Bank on lower profit, which had severely affected the institution. The proceedings were adjourned for a week.
There are rempant corruption in EOBI since Sheikh Barkatullah(Tulla) appointed DDG and after that Chairman of EOBI,during his tenure ,the EOBI House in Karachi was purchased paid five time more than the market price.He and some others officials and labour secretary at his time of tenure were involved.This is not only the one case there are thousand of others cases would be detected and billions of rupees of labours funds would be recovered from him.With this stolen money he had purchased real estate properties in Karachi and Islamabad.But for this purpose,the Supreme Court of Pakistan should initiate a thorough investigation. Hyderabad Miss Sana Memon A.D even three senior officer already posted in the region (even this junior officer last year appoint in EOBI which case already pending in the court also incopetent three officer select by Chairman EOBI in Ro Kotri or Hyderabad , both officers very disturb to me for the corruption every body complaint file against Chairman EOBI as well as DDG(B&C- HO Karachi but no action as well as no inquiry conduct against the officer specially Mr. Javed Iqbal DDG B&C-I fully support of corrupt two officer then regional head Mr. Javed Qureshi as well as one Syed Anwar Hussain Shah also Kotri office fully corruption enviornment but the Chairman and Mr. Javed Iqbal deliberately ignor and silence and I know that what is corruption running in the Kotri Reg ion please my help and issue direction to the Chairman EOBI control enviorment of corruption and honest and sincere regional head select in RO Kotri and Hyderabad since last three years I face very difficult position enviornment of corruption more suggestion if the court is demanded me provide for the solution of EOBI corruption ended.
Chairman EOBI so many expense in the issue of various publicity hand book but the conerned regional heads as well as field officers not meet registered worker and only meet employer representative and each and every EOBI registered worker not knowledge what is booklet EOBI printed also not prepared so many worker PI-03 Card and what is formula of the pension fact is EOBI Regional Head as well as filed officer Khamoshi se miltey hain employer se or corruption ki understanding kar letey hai which face only Insured person not registered also so many letters sent by regional head Kotri but what is result as well as what is disposal and also under the supervison of regional head Kotri pension section sitting late hours at about 9:00 pm and for the corruption purpose and miseuse of petty cash expenses kindly issue direction to the Chairman EOBI to monitor regional head actitivies living standard and what is vouchers sent to the EOBI HO Karachi and what is report sent to the B&C department on secret basis ; so that only loss face claimant and factory worker even claimant copy agents or fiield officer received for the corruption Kindly issu direction claimant copy sent whose address why sitting late in office in the Bts Section as well as why Accounts Officer sitting late night and regional heads, andwhy miseuse of the office A.C or light etc done in the office late nigth out of time. there is fully corruption environment in the kotri office ..2 strangers are working without any employment…every body keep every thing secrets from me,there is no timetable,disciplineand manners found nobody gives me work ….please respond to my complain and give me response thanks from mirza waqar baig

Director and Mr. M. Mairajuddin Director (both of us misguided to the higher authorities on secret basis in the shape of summary and every body incoming chairman eobi also misguided and approval received for sent the case to the higher authorities. Appeal to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice my application not respond by the Human Cell, without my rejoinder my appeal filed by the Human Right cell the case of EOBI corruption and corrupt officer posted in RO Kotri is genuine all of the selection of Chairman EOBI Zafar Gondal so many complaints file against the ex-Regional head Kotri as well as present but no response recently once again complaint file by me against the behaviour of regional head kotri Syed Anwar Ali Shah but no response and not call upon me by the Chairman EOBI face to face today on 20.02.2012, Regional head Kotri mis-behaved and warned me with dangerous words but the Chairman Sectt: EOBI not received my telephone call to him so many complaint filed by me but till now no action as well as no inquiry conduct , since last one years present regional head Kotri Syed Anwar Ali SHah give no work to me for reason of enviornment of corruption and every time ready to fight with me and I fell that management of EOBI fully support, fact is I am urdu speaking and honest intelligent employee then the other side only sindhi speaking employee performed the job and regional head is also sindhi speaking, this officer is also support of corruption and other activities by Mr. Javed Iqbal(recently promoted as DG EOBI) (head of all regional heads Sindh and Baluchistan) kindly take action and issue direction to the Human Cell contact with me and my another application considered and call upon me face to face with the Agency. my cell No.0333-2650935.
Today on 23.02.2012 Mr. Jameel Director Chairman Secctt: EOBI HO Karachi deliberately intentially not received my call since 20.02.2012, and so many times complaint filed by me by the Chairman EOBI Mr. Zafar Gondal but no inquiry as wll as no letter received, three officers posted in HR as well part of administration misguided to the higher authorities and sent false summaries sent against me and my family including Supreme Court on secret basis but any kind agency including SUpreme court cell one sided story except and case file without my response this kind practice seen since last 10 years and above, recently one corrupt and junior officer posted by Mr. Gondal in Kotri region ( since March 2011 posted) but this officer behaviour is not better to me fact is I am honest and urdu speaking employee, since his posting there is no work given to me and 3 to 4 times "mujhay marnay ki koshish ki dhamkiyan diin the last word is "Waqar main tumhara woh hashar karonga etc. kindly take action required by the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice and also warned to the Chairman EOBI why he did not call upon to me face to face in writting why Mr. Gondal Sb: support our corrupt and uneducated officer posting since March, 2011 why he posted outsider employee and why he did not work given to me and why Chairman EOBI not provide his comments to me as well as B&C Department EOBI HO Karachi I am waiting to your kind honour notice, this officer is completely responsible my health is bad and provide mental torture to me and also show me I am bad or un-wrilling worker for only our corruption and not asked take dictation of our PA and not knowledge one letter of draft and every time misuse of demand draft and show so many expenses and wrong show management of EOBI as welll as GAD and B&C Department etc.

Various comments given but due to looted the EOBI funds we old pensioners are weaping on the dead body of EOBI with sad world of sorrow no body in pakistan are available to listen our sorrow word. It seems in Pakistan all Government department are dead and no body is available in Government offices to listen our sorrow view pointed. Government Employees looted and enjoying in forign country with the funds of EOBI.
