Seminar on agri exports on 28th

ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with Trade Development Authority would organise a seminar on Agriculture Export Development on March 28. The seminar will be inaugurated by Federal Minister of Commerce Amin Fahim.
According to an issued statement, the objective of holding the seminar is to bolster the agriculture sector of the country, which accounts for over 21 percent of the GDP. It is the primary supplier of raw material in the value addition sector and therefore contributes substantially to the country’s export.
“In order to promote exports and reduce imports, it is imperative that there is continuous development in the agriculture sector and export potential can be realised through value addition in the field of agriculture”, the statement said.
Currently, a number of public and private sector organisations are undertaking various initiatives for enhancing productivity and improving value-added products.
