LAHORE – The closing ceremony of the LUMS Olympiad was held at the old Hockey Fields, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)
on Saturday. The theme for this event was ‘The Addams Family’ and the delegates wore black dresses, going for a gothic look keeping in line with the theme. The venue was decorated with pumpkins, gravestones, the famous ‘Thing’ and posters of the Addams Family. The decor was black and white with candles all around.
The ceremony began with a slideshow of the Olympiad after which Olympiad shirts signed by Josh were given to those delegates who came to the stage to do some dares; a delegation performed a short dance, a girl sang in a man’s voice, some delegates impersonated famous celebrities and alike. Winning delegates were awarded while humorous titles were given to the host team directors. Before the award-distribution, a video was shown of some host team members with Punjabi dubbing. Lahore Grammar School Johar Town bagged the award for Best Delegation.
