Lack of public transport

The lack of public transport is causing a lot of problems for the citizens. More than 75 percent of our population depends on the public transport, especially the students and the middle class. Inflation has also forced us to use the public transport. But the situation is not so good.

There are only a few buses on roads due to which we have to stand at bus stops for a long time. It wastes precious time of the people who are going to offices and the students. The condition of available public transport is not so good too. The drivers of these buses are either illiterate or not trained properly in traffic rules.

The buses are overloaded and mostly in shabby conditions. The problem is the public has no option. The buses are overloaded and vans are not comfortable for travel. The irony is the fact that their fares are increasing day by day. The drivers, ticket collector, conductor and their helpers on these buses use rash language and dont usually care for the elderly and the ladies. Smoking should also be forbidden in the public transport. The government should do something in this respect and increase the quantity and quality of public transport.
