Unsung heroes

We often ignore the talented and brave youth who serve our country with selfless devotion. I would like to salute these scouts and girls guides because they set examples for the others by showing their concern to make this world a better place and by serving humanity selflessly. Our country has produced millions of scouts and girls guides who are engaged in humanitarian work with loyalty, sincerity and dedication.

More than 25 million youth (boys and girls) are currently engaged in different scouts and girls guide associations. They act as role models and mentors for all of us. Few also sacrificed their lives. Not only this, but during the time of earthquake, which hit Pakistan in 2005, these scouts collected funds and also helped injured and sick people.

For many humanitarian and social services which took place during the last few years, under the supervision of City District Government Karachi, they stood side by side and performed their duty to their best and help people at all times without expecting anything in return. They are the sign of promising future of our country. Nowadays, much of the parents are worried about the engagement of their children in dubious activities. Scouting serves as the best activity in order to improve their childrens life skills and prepare them to face the challenges with dare, besides serving country as a responsible citizen.

We, as a nation, salute the remarkable performance of our scouts and girl guides throughout our country and wish that they will stand on our expectations in the coming years.
