No license to drive

Although the Islamabad Traffic Police has taken bold initiatives in conducting awareness campaigns towards safe driving, it still has not been given the funds to issue driving licenses. A driving license is considered the first requirement if one wants to drive a vehicle anywhere in the world. But unfortunately our system does not seem to care as the issuance has been stopped since January 2011 in Islamabad and this being the case of the federal capital. While there has been news that the funds have been released for the purpose, there has been no practical implementation of this.
