‘MQM, PPP are involved in target killings’

SIALKOT – Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Amir Syed Munawar Hassan has said that both Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) are directly involved in the uncontrolled assassinations of innocent people in Karachi. While talking to the journalists, he said the government had miserably failed in controlling the target killings thus it should tender apology to the nation. He said that federal government, Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) and Punjab government played their roles in the release of Raymond Davis and the nation would never forgive the incumbent rulers in this regard.
He alleged the incumbent rulers of Pakistan have allegedly changed the Pakistan’s stance on the Kashmir dispute in a bid to please their foreign rulers. He said that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani had forgotten the pain and agony of Aafia Siddiqui who was languishing in American prisons. He urged the nation to be united against the corrupt rulers and save the country from their clutches, besides, recovering the plundered national wealth from them.
Man held for tearing sacred pamphlets: Sabzpeer police have arrested an accused Fiaz Ahmed for allegedly tearing some pamphlets, containing some sacred words, in a local mosque at village Ding-Sabzpeer. The police have registered a case against the accused Fiaz Ahmed under section 295-C and sent him behind the bars.
