KARACHI – The Seventh Health Asia 2011 International Exhibition and conference concluded on Thursday after a successful three-day extravaganza at Karachi Expo Centre. A conference was held on the third day to discuss recent advances in dermatology, with Dr Najia Ashraf and Dr Sameera talking about common issues such as acne, eczema and hyper pigmentation.
The Sindh Health Department also established its pavilion at the exhibition; officials focused on creating awareness regarding different diseases, their causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment as well as prevention. The Health Asia International Exhibition is the only UFI-approved health and pharma-sector event in Pakistan, bringing together professionals and stake-holders to learn, share information, as well as find avenues of mutual cooperation and combined projects.
The 2011 edition saw around 70 foreign delegates from 20 countries participate. Apart from local participants, international ones hailed from China, Taiwan, India and United Arab Emirates among other countries. More than 35,000 trade and corporate visitors also attended the event.
