KARACHI – Following Altaf Hussain’s ideological and philosophical approach, the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) encompasses the concept of service to humanity without any prejudice or discrimination, former city nazim and KKF Managing Trustee Mustafa Kamal said while visiting KKF Pavilion in the 7th Health Asia at the Karachi Expo Centre.
Kamal said that the KKF has been providing free medical treatment and medicines to the lesser privileged through mobile dispensaries and field hospitals. Patients are also operated at the mobile dispensaries as and when needed in emergency. The KKF has also been rendering mortuary services on humanitarian grounds, he added.
He said that the KKF is a highly organised, active and effective social welfare organisation engaged in diversified social welfare activities including operations, ambulance and coffin carrier services, hospitals, dispensaries, blood banks and mortuaries.
Other than the trade visitors, the KKF stand was also visited by a number of dignitaries and diplomats, including Ambassador of Sudan Muhammad Umar Moosa and KKF Trustee Arshad Vohra.
While briefing about the activities of the KKF in Health Asia, KKF Operations Director Imran Usman said, “It is our second participation in Health Asia and we found it very helpful in creating awareness about our services among the corporate and public sectors. Besides creating awareness, we are also conducting free eye-testing and blood group tests at the KKF Pavilion.”
