JERUSALEM – A bomb exploded near a bus in a Jewish neighbourhood of Jerusalem on Wednesday, injuring dozens, police said.
Scores of ambulances converged on the area, near the central bus station and a city conference hall in downtown Jerusalem. The Magen David Adom ambulance service said it appeared no one had been killed.
Police said an explosive device blew up near a bus and there were more than 20 people hurt. Live television showed a bus with broken windows and bloodstains on the pavement. It did not appear from the television pictures that the explosion occurred inside the vehicle.
