Mukhtar Qureshi new GDA director general

GUJRANWALA – The provincial government has appointed Mukhtar Qureshi as Gujranwala Development Authority (GDA) director general (DG). The new DG has assumed the charge of his office while his predecessor Hakim Ali Doultana has been made an officer on special duty (OSD).
BESAKHI TO BE CELEBRATED ON APRIL 17: Besakhi festival will be celebrated in Eimanabad on April 17 in which thousands of Sikhs from all over world will participate. A delegation of Pakistan Sikh Gurudawara Parbandhak Committee led by Sardar Tarn Singh and Sardar Rawail Singh called on District Coordination Officer (DCO) Barrister Nabil Ahmad Awan and called for better arrangements on the festival.
The DCO told the delegation that illegal tenancy at Gurunanak Gurdawara was brought to an end by the administration and now the government was planning to establish a park after the name of Baba Gurunanak. The DCO assured foolproof security on the festival and added that all possible facilities would also be provided for the visitors.
GREEN GUJRANWALA CANTT CAMPAIGN INAUGURATED:
“Green Gujranwala Cantt” campaign was inaugurated by Cantt Executive Officer Rana Khalil Ahmad by planting a sibling at Government Girls High School Kashmir Colony. Speaking on the occasion, he intended to plant 3,000 saplings during the spring campaign. He said that Gujranwala Cantonment Board had established a mobile nursery and publicised its phones to extend maximum services to the people for planting saplings in their houses, lawns and vacant areas. He called for proper care of the plants in the coming months to get rid of pollution.
