ISLAMABAD – A 5.6-magnitude earthquake jolted northern and central Pakistan including, Islamabad on Monday but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, said an official. The epicentre of the quake was 188 kilometres north of Islamabad in Faizabad district of northern Afghanistan, chief meteorologist Mohammad Riaz told AFP. Tremors were felt in several cities in central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and parts of Kashmir at 2:49pm, he said.
