SAHIWAL – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Muhmmad Hafeez Akhter said the Punjab government had engaged Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah for making false propaganda.
He said the provincial law minister stated that all the matters with Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers had been settled, but, 100 PCS officers were arrested outside the Secretariat. He said the point of prestige would be placed in the provincial assembly due to the false statement of the law minister. He further said the provincial minister should resign for giving false statements.
PML-Q’S wings RALLY AGAINST MOONIS’ ARREST: On the directions of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) youth wing president, its youth wing, kisan wing and MSF-Q took out a protest rally from the College Chowk and concluded at the Jogi Chowk after passing through the main bazaars.
The leaders said the Punjab government’s act of registering a false case against Moonas Elahi was condemnable and shameful, but he would be declared innocent.
They added that Moonas Elahi should be released as early as possible and all the false cases against him withdrawn.
ILO COMMITTED TO FINISHING CHILD LABOUR: International Labour Organisation Chief Technical Adviser Sajeva Moncika said that International Labour Organisatin (ILO) with the cooperation of the Government of Pakistan had resolved to finish the child labour.
He added that according to this programme, in district Sahiwal, the children under 14 years of age will be admitted in the educational institutions where they will get technical education.
He was addressing a training programme where the programme officer and district labour officer were also present.
TWO DEAD, FOUR INJURED IN ROAD ACCIDENT: At least two people died and four were injured in a road accident.
Reportedly, a motorcycle rickshaw turned turtle on GT Road and was crushed by a speedy mazda truck that was coming from the back side. Resultantly, a woman Meraj Bibi, a resident of Chak No 105-9L, and her four-year-old daughter died on the spot while Ghalan Bibi, her husband Hamid and two daughters received serious injuries.
The Rescue 1122 reached the spot and took them to district headquarters hospital where two of the injured people were still in serious condition.
