LAHORE – Judicial Magistrate Ikhtisham Sadiq on Monday extended Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Chaudhry Moonis Elahi’s physical remand until March 24 for his alleged involvement in the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) land scam. Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) presented the accused in court to get an extension in his physical remand after completion of three days.
During the hearing, Moonis’ counsel said that his client was being politically victimised despite the fact that his name was not in the first information report (FIR) of the case. PML-Q leaders including Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, Raja Basharat, Amna Ulfat and others were also present the occasion and chanted slogans in Moonis’ favour.
