Lahore – A walk was organised at the Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) on Monday in connection with the World Water Day. “Shortage of standard drinking water is a serious world problem and some LCWU societies are contributing to highlight the issue,” LCWU Natural Sciences Dean Dr Kausar Jamal Cheema said. Environment Science Department Chairperson Dr Arifa Tahir was also present on the occasion.
The Lahore Environment Awareness Forum (LEAF) and the Society for Environment Awareness (SEA) have arranged many workshops, seminars and lectures to highlight the importance of a better environment, participants of the walk said.
