LAHORE – Nabila,16, a housemaid committed suicide over a domestic issue at the house of her employer in Gulberb on Sunday. Nabila was a resident of Sheikhupura and had been working as a housemaid at 157-A-II, Gulberg for the past six years.
For the last few months, Nabila’s younger sister Atia had also started living with her at the same house. On the day of incident, the house’s owner and his family left the house for shopping when Nabila reportedly picked up a pistol and shot at her temple. Nabila was said to have died on the spot. Ghalib Market Police after being informed reached the spot and removed the body to morgue for autopsy.
Police collected evidence from the crime scene and sent it to the forensic lab. The deceased girl’s sister Atia told the police that her sister had been engaged for marriage few days back but her fiance’s parents broke the engagement over which she was dejected. However, a police officer said that main cause of death would be ascertained after autopsy.
