KARACHI – Atif Khan was born in Sahiwal in 1972. He graduated in Fine Arts from the National College of Arts in Lahore. He was awarded the UNESCO-Aschberg Bursary in 1999 and completed a residency at Darat-al-Funun in Amman, Jordan the same year.
Following his success there and his reputation as a highly qualified teacher and printmaker at the National College of Arts in Lahore, Khan was appointed as artist in residence at the Swansea Print Workshop from November 2005 for three months.
He has exhibited his works throughout Asia and in the USA, Finland, Germany and Poland. His work features in collections at the Bradford Museum, UK; Darat-al-Funun, Amman, Jordan; and the Arab Bank, and the Presidency in Islamabad.
