Bal Thackerays Shiv Sena has threatened the Pakistani team with regards to playing the final match in India. He has said that Pakistan need his permission to play the match.
The extremist Hindu party has always used these kind of tactics in the past against Pakistani artists performing in Indian shows and movies. The latest outburst is cause for concern and may lead to a disruption in the ongoing World Cup.
The Government of India must take serious action against Shiv Sena. They should ensure protection to the Pakistani team and provide them with the best security arrangements. It is their duty as hosts of the World Cup to make sure that nobody harms the visiting teams.
Our government should beef up its own security arrangements of the team as well to make sure that no unfortunate event takes place.
