KASUR – People are suffering because of suspension of train service in Kasur. As per details, Pakistan Railways administration had suspended the services of four trains namely 321up, 322 down, 257 up and 258 down due to non availability of diesel. Many passengers had been waiting for their desired trains for many hours because they were not informed about the suspension of the service. This step would severely affect the passengers from those areas which lie around the railway track from Pakpattan to Kasur as there was no direct bus service for them. People demanded the authorities concerned take effective steps to tackle this situation. man SENTENCED TO DEATH: District and Sessions Judge Nazir Ahmed Ganjana awarded death sentence to an accused Muhammad Amin and life imprisonment to another accused Mubashar in a murder case.
According to details, the accused had killed Aftab and injured Tahir Mehmood over a minor issue at Haveli Ramme Wali in 2008. The judge also announced seven-year- imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 for both the accused while acquitted three other accused due to the lack of evidence. KaSUR BAR CONDEMNS DAVIS’ RELEASE: Kasur Bar Association held an emergency meeting under the chairmanship of Bar President Sharif Zahid to condemn the release of Raymond Davis. Sharif Zahid said the way the whole affair was conducted was extremely questionable while Secretary General Raza Kiani said that both the federal and provincial governments had played their roles to get Davis release. The other lawyers said Davis’ release had proved that the rulers were the servants of United States (US) and had no courage to say NO to US. They added the lawyers were ready to sacrifice their lives for the country and supremacy of law.
THIEVES STEAL GIFTED MOTORCYCLE: A student of 9th class was deprived of his motorcycle which his uncle gifted him on completing the Holy Quran the other day.
As per details, Hafiz Abdul Naffay got a motorcycle from his uncle as a gift when he learnt the Holy Quran by heart completely. Naffay took the gift as the most precious asset of his life. But some days back some dacoits shattered his dreams when they entered his home and took away his motorcycle. The thieves took away another motorcycle and other valuables from his house situated at Kot Peeran in the jurisdiction of B-Division Police Station.
Naffay said he visited the police station several times and tried to tell the police officers concerned about the true value of his motorcycle but, he added, nobody cooperated with him. The student now wanted to meet Kasur District Police Officer (DPO) Ghoar Nafees with a new hope to find his gifted motorcycle.
