HAFIZABAD – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Hafizabad President Malik Fayyaz Ahmad Awan’s nephew was booked for torturing a police sub-inspector (SI) in the city police station. According to the first information report (FIR), SI Muhammad Inayat was investigating a gambling case when Malik Phool Awan stormed into the police station and tried to get three accused released who were allegedly involved in the gabling case.
He abused the sub-inspector, tortured him and tore his uniform. The police arrested Malik Phool Awan and registered a case against him while Malik Phool Awan denied the charges and said the police had registered a fake case against him. OLD MAN SLIPPED TO DEATH: A 70-year-old man was slipped to death in Sukheki. Reportedly, Muhammad Hanif was alighting form the roof of his house when suddenly he slipped from the stairs and fell down. He was injured severely and died before receiving first aid.
