LAHORE – Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said he would resign from office if allegations of his involvement in Raymond Davis’ release were proven true. Talking to reporters on Thursday, Sanaullah ruled out Chaudhry Zaheer’s allegations that he visited the court for Davis’ immediate release.
He said that the PML-N respected the nation’s sentiments and represented the nation’s feelings during the course of the case. He said the court released Davis because the legal heirs of the victims granted him pardon by accepting Diyat. Sanaullah said the government of Punjab respected the court’s decision and no official of the Punjab government was involved in Davis’ release.
