QUETTA – At least six people, including four security force personnel, were killed and 23 others injured in various bomb blasts and firing incidents in Quetta, Naseerabad, Turbat, Sibi and Jaffarabad on Thursday. Outlawed BRA claimed responsibility for all the attacks.
According to police, an FC convoy was passing from Sariab Road when a car parked at Badini Cross exploded, killing one and injuring five others. In a similar incident, three people, including two FC personnel were killed and seven others injured in a remote-controlled bomb attack in Naseerabad.
A FC convoy was passing from Chattar Road when the roadside bomb exploded. Reports from the area said the FC personnel started firing to keep the people away after the blast, resulting in the immediate death of a passer-by. In another incident, two ANF personnel were injured in a bomb attack in Turbat town of Kech district.
Reports said the explosives were fitted to a bicycle and went off at the main crossing of Turbat.In Sibi, militants attacked Quetta-Bolan passenger Mail with explosives, injuring seven people. The Bolan Mail coming from Karachi was attacked near Dingra area of Sibi.
Also, two people, including a policeman, were killed and another two injured in an armed attack on a police checkpost in Jaffarabad.
