LAHORE – Haroon Rashid of WAPDA won the eights stage of the 16th Tour de Pakistan International Cycle Race on Wednesday. The race paddled off from Sahiwal towards Lahore at 9 am. Haroon Rashid covered the distance of 178 kilometres in 3 hours, 44 minutes and one second.
Forty-six cyclists took to the road for the eighth stage. The prize distribution ceremony was held at the National Hockey Stadium Lahore. Syed Shahid Ali, IOC Member in Pakistan, was the chief guest and distributes the medals among the winners.
The Sports Board Punjab also hosted a reception in honour of the participating cyclists at the Hockey Stadium where DG Sports and other official were also present.
