Shabir wins Tour de Pak 7th stage

LAHORE – Mohammad Shabir maintained his winning run by claiming the 7th stage of the 16th Tour de Pakistan International Cycle Race here on Tuesday. Shabir of WAPDA won the stage after covering the 154 kilometers distance (from Multan to Sahiwal) in 4 hours, 34 minutes and 12 seconds.
Mohamamd Rafiq of Army was placed second and was followed by Sultan of SSGC at third place. Rameen of Afghanistan, Ahad of WAPDA and Haroon of WAPDA were fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively. The cyclists will travel from Sahiwal to Lahore for the eighth stage of the race on Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, Sports Board Punjab is going to organize a dinner in honour of participants of Tour de Pakistan International at National Hockey Stadium, Lahore on March 16.
