Reliable sources in the party told this scribe that the PPP was mulling for an open and clear support to the long-standing demand for a Seraiki province at both provincial and federal levels.
The sources claimed that the PPP was finalising the modalities and the resolution might be tabled in the ongoing or next session of the assembly; however, a final date would be fixed keeping in view the situation in the house.
Member PPP Federal Executive Council Ahmed Hussain Daharr MPA while confirming the information said a large majority of legislators in the Punjab Assembly from southern Punjab from across political divide would support the demand. It is said that the move is aimed at curtailing the PML-N powers.
