SPM Stags earn easy win

LAHORE – SPM Stags outplayed Ali Garh Senior by 69 runs in the 1st Amir Cables Veteran’s T20 Cricket Tournament. The match was played at Model Town Club ground.
SPM raced to 222 for two in the allotted 20 overs, which turned out to be the highest score of the event. Kamran Khan’s unbeaten 115 off 57 balls was the first century of the tournament.
Shahid added 50, while Javed Hayat pitched in another 42 for Stags. The wicket-takers for Ali Garh were Khalid (1-43) and Shakil Malik (1-34). In reply, Ali Garh were dismissed for 153 runs. Zahid (31), Ali Amjad (21), Muhammad Arif (20), Rehan Rauf (18), Romail Bashir (17) and Shakil Malik (14*) were the top scorers. Stags’ Javed Hayat took 3 wickets for 15 runs, Sajjad Akbar bagged 3 for 33, Zia uddin took 2 for 30, while Amir Nazeer got 2 for 37. The man of the match was Stags’ Kamran Khan, who took the award from SPM Head Aizad Sayid.
