SCBA delegation leaves for India today

LAHORE – A Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) delegation, led by President Asma Jahangir, will leave for India today (Wednesday) at the invitation of the Indian Supreme Court Bar Association.
The delegation, consisting of 150 lawyers, will attend a seminar at Jaipur on March 19 and 20. Former SCBA president Ali Ahmed Kurd will also accompany the delegation, which will cross that Wagah Border at 10:30am today. The Delhi High Court Bar Association and the Indian Supreme Court Bar Association will hold a reception for the visiting delegation. After attending the seminar, the SCBA delegation will discuss with Indian lawyers the role lawyers a number of topics including public interest legislation including its strengths and weaknesses.
