Rescue 1122 pays homage to deceased rescuer

LAHORE – Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Director General (DG) Dr Rizwan Naseer paid tribute to Rescuer Muhammad Asif, who had died in the line of duty, by giving cash to his family at Muhammadi Pur village, Mureedke on Tuesday.
The DG acknowledged Rescue 1122 firefighters’ services by calling them “real heroes” who risked their lives to aid victims of emergencies and disasters. He said firefighters were valued a lot in developed countries because of their courage and added that Rescue 1122 was proud of Asif. Muhammad Asif had joined Rescue 1122 on July 15, 2008. He was killed on February 26 during a late night rescue operation.
